Akoya baby pearls are very small nuclei (2mm to 3mm) that are carefully inserted into the Akoya oysters (mother shellfish)so as not to damage them. It takes time and effort.
(Because they are made using traditional special techniques, only a limited number of craftsmen can make them.)
It takes more time and effort to produce than normal size Akoya pearls.
When it comes to good quality baby pearls, only a small amount can be obtained
Now only a few companies are producing them. Production has decreased year by year and it has become rare.
